Ruby recently made history as a candidate for Prime Minister of Canada and Leader of the Liberal Party. She is the first woman of colour to run for Prime Minister of Canada and the first woman of Indian origin to run as Prime Minister in the world after Indira Gandhi.
Ruby has a list of political achievements including her 3x election as a Member of Parliament in Canada’s House of Commons & as a history maker in being the first woman of Indian origin to be elected in the Western world, With her journey of achievements and accomplishments Ruby has been honored globally, from being one of 10 Global Indians recognized globally to receiving numerous awards, including RBC’s 100 Women of Influence Nominee in Canada and Global Young Leader by the Charitable Trust of Prince Edward . She also proud to serve as a Board of Director on Canada’s Walk of Fame to celebrate Canadian achievers.
