2026 Punjabi Chamber of Commerce Gala May 2, 2026
David Zaltzman
What an extraordinary evening at the sold-out 2026 Punjabi Chamber of Commerce Gala.
More than 500 entrepreneurs, business leaders, decision-makers, and political figures came together under one roof, creating an atmosphere charged with ambition, progress, and possibility.
At the center of it all was Dr. Ruby Dhalla, CEO of Dhalla Group, whose keynote became the defining heartbeat of the night.
Her message was not theory. It was truth, earned through lived experience.
She spoke of the principles that define every great leader:
Passion that fuels the journey.
Purpose that anchors every decision. Vision that transforms obstacles into momentum.
And then she went deeper.
She reminded us that the Punjabi community has always been built on resilience, courage, and an entrepreneurial spirit that refuses to stand still. A community that adapts. Innovates. Rises.
Her call for a transformative mindset didn’t just resonate, it moved the room.
The standing ovation said everything.

The evening itself reflected the strength and influence of this community, with an exceptional lineup of leaders in attendance, including Brampton Mayor Patrick Brown, Mississauga Mayor Carolyn Parrish , Ontario Minister of Transportation Prab Sarkaria, LCBO Chair Carmine Nigro, Peel Police Superintendent Peter Danos, Deputy Chair of the Peel Police Services Board Omar Khan And many more dignitaries and changemakers who are shaping the future of our region. For entrepreneurs, moments like this are more than celebrations, they are reminders.
That success is never built alone.
That passion must be aligned with purpose.
That community is not just support, it is strength.
The Gala’s theme, BELONG, captured a powerful truth:
Greatness is unlocked when people feel part of something bigger than themselves.
This was not just a Gala.
It was a declaration.
Of vision.
Of unity.
Of bold, unapologetic leadership.
Congratulations to Dr. Ruby Dhalla for delivering a keynote that will stay with so many long after the lights dimmed.
And to the Punjabi Chamber of Commerce for creating a night that challenged every leader in the room to think bigger, act bolder, and build with intention.
A night of inspiration.
A room full of leaders.
And a powerful reminder:
Our future is brightest when we rise together.
